This “Buy it Now” offering is for an original vintage 1976 Saskatchewan Roughriders Canadian Football League pocket schedule. The Roughriders finished the season 11-5 for first in the CFL’s Western Conference, then won the Western final playoff to advance to the Grey Cup where they suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Ottawa Rough Riders who scored a touchdown in the last 20 seconds to win 23-20. Saskatchewan was led by Canadian Football Hall of Fame quarterback Ron Lancaster who led the league with 3,869 passing yards, his career best. He also topped the league with 25 touchdown passes and was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player. Wide receiver Rhett Dawson was second in the league in receiving yards with 996 including 10 touchdowns to join Lancaster as a CFL All Star. Offensive guard Ralph Galloway , linebacker Roger Goree and defensive backs Lorne Richardson and Paul Williams were also named to the All Star team. Richardson had a league best seven interceptions and 144 yards on returns. The team also included future Canadian Football Hall of Fame center Roger Aldag in the first year of his career.
