What an absolutely masterful piece of hand carved wood art! This figure of Kong Fuzi/Confucius is made from a solid piece of wood. I believe it’s olive wood, and the figure feels heavy for its size. There is an incredibly amount of detail put into the carving of the wood, especially into the face and beard. The figure is in good physical condition with only the slightest bit of surface wear.
