Description

Last year, I attended an estate auction that had items in it from the relatives of George Eastman of the KODAK Film empire. I purchased a sealed wooden crate of films at the sale. When I got them home, I opened them and started looking up the subject manor shown on the canister. I then purchased a 16mm projector since I had no way to view said films. To my amazement, These films from the 1920's show George Eastman at various property's enjoying his vacation with family. This film is from his Oak Lodge vacation home in North Carolina. I contacted the Eastman Kodak museum in Rochester N.Y. and talked to the curator and explained what I had. She was shocked that these were sold at the estate sale, because she had been to the location years before where I purchased these but didn't see them. They shot me a low ball number basically just wanting me to donate them to the museum. With all that being said, the subject matter here speaks for itself....automobiles, trains, guns, baseball, etc! Please study all the photos and video, and ask any questions you may have.
