Price is for One Saucer (there are four available). Gmunder Keramik 6" Saucer in the popular Green Flamed (Dizzy). The uniqueness is not the only thing special about this piece - the fact that it is hand crafted and passes through 60 different hands during the production is simply amazing. Ceramic material, handmade from Purified Clay. Hand painted. Each piece is unique. Measures approx .75" tall and 46 in diameter. Bottom is stamped with the old Gmunder Keramik Logo. Made in Austria. Gmunder Keramik's tableware has been around since 1492 and now is known as the finest Austrian Tableware. Each unique beautiful piece is handcrafted from Purified Clay and put through 2 rounds of firing, Bisque and Gloss (16 hours each time) with a glazing process in between. By the time each item is complete it will have passed through 60 hands during the production process. Each piece is decorated using a "Flaming" technique practiced exclusively in Gmunder. The craftmanship of Flaming takes about two years to learn, each piece must adhere to a specific number of arcs, strokes or loops. It was in the 17th Century that the Green Flamed Pattern was born and is now instantly recognizable and much sought after worldwide.
